In May 2022 I hiked the Skye Trail on the Isle of Skye in northern Scotland. Ravaged by bad weather on my first sea-hike, I came to realize how harsh and tricky nature can be. A memorable hike.

In February 2022 I hiked solo for 8 days in the Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa. The people, extreme weather and landscape and unique camping locations make this remote hike one of my favorite.

In December 2021 I camped in the snow for 2 nights in the Accursed Mountains in Montenegro on the border with Albania. At -15°C my coldest 2 nights ever.

In July 2021 I solo hiked a 6-day 115 kilometer loop in the central part of the Pyrenees through Parque Nacional Ordesa y Monte Perdido and Parc national des Pyrénées.

In July 2021 I solo hiked a 8-day 150 kilometer loop in Parque Nacional de Los Picos de Europa, a national park in the north of Spain.
